  • One of the steps with greater empowerment for the year. Safe, beautiful, with places where stopping and taking pictures, rest and admire the mountain landscape.

  • Eye if it is in winter, there are areas where you have to use chains on your vehicle. Take your time going from one country to another. The Chilean side there are wonderful landscapes, like Europe. Until you reach currarrehue where you have several thermal complexes (care prices). There you got several meals over the road jobs, delicious and good price

  • I have crossed from Chile to Argentina and vice versa several times by this step. It always catches my attention the beautiful landscapes that are seen on the route. The only way is about 12 km from Earth (gravel) before the Argentinean Customs (coming from ARG), however, it is not in bad condition. Lower, no problem were crossing all types of vehicles, from 4 x 4 to cars. Cross is fast, just becomes a bit slow in the Chilean Customs, inspection of the SAG, especially if you are with a bus or group of persons, since suitcases must pass by scanner and there is a bottle neck. In none of the Customs I've seen that they sell food, so they should be. Bathrooms are in both. I crossed in February and later 1 hour approx total (both customs).

  • Caution with the road on the Argentine side, especially if they do not walk in "large" cars, road in poor condition and without signage

  • Very nice landscapes! Asphalt of the Chilean side and ground on the Argentine side, can not be dirt as national reserve.

  • Excellent way to Chile. All asphalt except for 16 km in the National Park.
