Trip Planner: South America / Argentina / Central Argentina / Province of Buenos Aires / Ingeniero Maschwitz / Quo Container Center
Reminiscent of similar shopping districts in London and New York, Quo Container Center serves as Buenos Aires' hip shipping-container retail center. The first thing that strikes you is the smorgasbord of colorful boxes, and the innovative (and economical) method of transforming these containers into shops and cafe spaces. Small local businesses here include eco-friendly retail stores, restaurants, and a gallery space all clustered underneath a green roof equipped with solar panels. Hicieron una galeria en un terreno baldio, apilando contenedores y reciclandolos, dando mucho color, ¿eso lo hace distinto?, no deja de ser un centro comercial como tantos otros en tantos lugares del ... more »Made a gallery on ground baldio, stacking containers and reciclandolos, giving lots of color, does that make it different?, no longer be a shopping center like so many others in so many places of the country and the world. With container also can be offices, schools, etc. not is because people dazzle you, is to build cheaper there. They want to give a touch of Chic, snob, but also, in those same containers and that same way fpueden to build another Salada, if they do not carry a contingent of tourists making them believe that they lead them to see a work of Cesar Pelli. Zero originality.

Original mall built only with shipping containers. Colourful, creative, attractive. Some nice bars, restaurants. Small shops with generally cheap products. A nice place to visit.

Great concept. Pinterest would be proud of the recycling of materials to create a modern place. Went to TR3S for supper and was amazed at the food that came to the table. The price was very reasonable. I will definately tell anyone that travels to this area that they have to visit this place!
