(4.8/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
Feast your eyes on waves of rainbow rocks undulating down the side of mountains as you wind your way along Quebrada de Humahuaca, a scenic road linking northern Argentina to Bolivia. Ranging from beige to deep reds, rich browns, and even violet, the rocks look amazing at any time of day, as they subtly change color according to the light. • It is a spectacular place, which must be known at the time of visiting the North of Argentina. They are colors and a single area.

  • Appreciation for nature will make that this place surprised, not only by the color of the mountains if not for the habitat. The Mountains surround you with a colorful minerals and Earth that will surprise you. What I liked is share this landscape with the locals. It is recommended for the autumn season.

  • Maybe it's because I went to Humahuaca after visiting Persimmons and quebrada with la cuesta del Obispo and having covered the stretch of tren a las nubes, but la quebrada of Humahuaca didn't make me excited. It sure is lovely but if you only have time for one visit, I recommend the stretch towards Cachi: from Salta is shorter and more varied, less stop in countries that thrive on tourism therefore more nature and less stores. If you have time to see both, certainly worth a visit!
