Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Esquel

4.7
#1 of 19 in Nature in Province of Chubut
Parque Nacional Los Alerces earned a spot on the UNESCO World Heritage list due to its vast forests of some of the world's longest-living trees, its glacial cirques, and its pristine lakes. Snowy mountain peaks create the background for 1,000- to 3,000-year-old alerce trees, as well as a complex system of four large lakes connected with many rivers and creeks completes the scenery. Created in 1937, the park remains virtually intact since much of it is accessible only by foot. Still, local guides offer fishing trips on the lakes, and many picnic and camping spots can be found in the area. The most scenic walk leads over the suspension bridge over Arrayanes river, while the Torrecillas glacier can be seen from a tour boat. • Stop by at the turn of a working meeting. It is a beautiful place. I recommend they take a whole day to walk the route that crosses it, and if you have time take advantage of staying a night in one of the many frenzies and campsite that there is.

  • As often nature did it perfectly and we made it very wrong here. Now they charge you $250 per person to enter the park. The road is bad and there are no places to park even to take a picture.the accesses to to the beautiful places go through payed areas. To park your car at the main visiting areas they charge you $80 or you to stay at a payed camping for another $220. APN made it very wrong here.
