Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Esquel
(4.8/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Tour Parque Nacional Los Alerces, home to the largest Argentine forest of one of the longest-living trees in the world. Snowy mountain peaks create the background for 1,000- to 3,000-year-old alerce trees, as well as a complex system of four large lakes connected with many rivers and creeks completes the scenery. Created in 1937, the park remains virtually intact since much of it is accessible only by foot. Still, local guides offer fishing trips on the lakes, and many picnic and camping spots can be found in the area. The most scenic walk leads over the suspension bridge over Arrayanes river, while the Torrecillas glacier can be seen from a tour boat. • The beautiful thing is surprised. So much vegetation, lakes, rivers and waterfalls. Also that you can camp in season and there are complex with rooms. There are several sectors dreamed up for picnics. We visited in October and we did not take input since the season begins in December. A pity because some trails were closed as well as the baths which are indispensable. The baths of the station of the Ranger in Villa Futalaufquen and where he gave us a map and information were only enabled. We did a tour of about 35 km on gravel road through streams and waterfalls leads to the bridge and the Green Lake is wonderful. Another trail that was enabled was the port Limonao but there were no excursions by boat. The port is tiny and cute. What I most enjoyed were the beautiful landscapes.

  • We made the trip to the park with Patagonia green. Travel in combi to the interior of the Park, walk of about 20 minutes to puerto Chucao to embark on a walk by the Lake Menendez, and a final walk where you can appreciate the variety and beauty of the place, the Green Lake and the caacada. It can not be described with words. It should be there and see it for yourself. Essential.

  • Lakes, forest and Valdivian jungle full of tree varieties, with MyrtleS along the Lake and the incredible alerces (2600 years!). a missed ride that will allow you to drink water from the river that runs beside the road...
