Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Esquel
(4.8/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Tour Parque Nacional Los Alerces, home to the largest Argentine forest of one of the longest-living trees in the world. Snowy mountain peaks create the background for 1,000- to 3,000-year-old alerce trees, as well as a complex system of four large lakes connected with many rivers and creeks completes the scenery. Created in 1937, the park remains virtually intact since much of it is accessible only by foot. Still, local guides offer fishing trips on the lakes, and many picnic and camping spots can be found in the area. The most scenic walk leads over the suspension bridge over Arrayanes river, while the Torrecillas glacier can be seen from a tour boat. • The Cholila trip along route 71 through the Park-Esquel is highly recommended. Gravel road in very good condition. Stops walking exceptional

  • Of all the times that I went through the National Park never like this year I saw so little vegetation. The leaves of the trees were gray as a result of Earth lifted by the winds and low rainfall.

  • We arrived at the Park by car, since out of season groups van Wednesday only Saturday and Sunday, this park consists of three sectors, the first day we decided to start by sector centre where most of the trails were closed and also very bad senalizados.y to the cross with a Park Ranger asks us if we were with vehicle, if our response tells us that if we left things in it we be careful because you are stealing from parking lots and Special in which leave us the car, (I wonder because if they know that they are stolen in this sector do not let surveillance.) upon returning to the car, they were gendarmes who not only asked us documents, they reviewed us auto and to backpacks, making us spend a bad time., should take care of the safety of the Park, has only one input and one output
