Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Esquel

(4.8/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Tour Parque Nacional Los Alerces, home to the largest Argentine forest of one of the longest-living trees in the world. Snowy mountain peaks create the background for 1,000- to 3,000-year-old alerce trees, as well as a complex system of four large lakes connected with many rivers and creeks completes the scenery. Created in 1937, the park remains virtually intact since much of it is accessible only by foot. Still, local guides offer fishing trips on the lakes, and many picnic and camping spots can be found in the area. The most scenic walk leads over the suspension bridge over Arrayanes river, while the Torrecillas glacier can be seen from a tour boat. • We traveled all over the Park. Entering by cholila and leaving by esquel. Rivers saw the Lakes. We did a couple of walks. All very well signposted. Several campsites and beach. A dream. All very well maintained

  • We spent three nights in the Park. Very helpful info from Villa Rangers as futalaufquen. Did the walks of difficulty low. The roads are very well senalizados2 and the landscapes are beautiful. You walk into the forest. We were organized camping it had light for a while and had no signal wifi or telephone signal. US CHARM! We could disconnect us. Went to eat at camping River arrayanes. Very beautiful and very rich it food. Unfortunately, in the parking lot of the walk to the cave paintings that are just you enter central park portal opened us auto cutting the cables of the alarm. Only took money cash (little) and my card of credit and a credential of the work social. This sad fact that could only tarnish a bit our tour took place in the solitude of the free parking at the entrance of the road that lasts only 30 minutes of walking. Not went them unique to that you spent. Another family had the same inconvenient but those cables cut affected the start of the auto and is them complicated. As I recommend the tour and be perhaps cautious when leaving the car.

  • It is a very good choice for sunny days because you should go quite a few stretches walking or visiting places to take pictures or take advantage of the beach of Lake Futalaufquen... The cost of entry is $90 (if I'm not mistaken) and there is a lot to explore and learn. The gateway is a very nice place, as well as puerto Chucao... There are beautiful places and even cave paintings... NOT TO BE MISSED! A penalty the fire!
