Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Esquel

4.8
#1 of 13 in Nature in Province of Chubut
Parque Nacional Los Alerces earned a spot on the UNESCO World Heritage list due to its vast forests of some of the world's longest-living trees, its glacial cirques, and its pristine lakes. Snowy mountain peaks create the background for 1,000- to 3,000-year-old alerce trees, as well as a complex system of four large lakes connected with many rivers and creeks completes the scenery. Created in 1937, the park remains virtually intact since much of it is accessible only by foot. Still, local guides offer fishing trips on the lakes, and many picnic and camping spots can be found in the area. The most scenic walk leads over the suspension bridge over Arrayanes river, while the Torrecillas glacier can be seen from a tour boat. • the most beautiful National Park of our country! ideal for camping in nature! best still out of season... in love with the silence of the place. Varied options to discover it. Trekking, cave paintings, lacustrine excursions... prices for all budgets

  • The PNA is a magical place, even when currently has several areas affected by the fires. Impressive is the perfect word for me, because I did not know to which side look, walking etc. natural harmony, peace, relaxation, excitement of seeing how we live with so much nature and sometimes we do not know to take care of her. It is a park full, lakes, trees, rivers, trails, short, long, spring, viewpoints, water Green etc much to discover. As Argentine must know it, colors and aromas pure air gives you desire to stay so much as you can, time passes and not you realize. also in a section of the Park near the futelaufquen Lake there is a beautiful Inn. I must emphasize that from Esquel and Trevelin is recommended to have own vehicle and go with people who know the area, because the roads are sinuous, more in season where they are changing stations, on distance mean you got from 30 km to 60 km depending on places mentioned. KNOW THE P.N.A WHAT I RECOMMEND WITHOUT HESITATION.
