La Hoya, Esquel

(4.4/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
A small ski resort with a big history, including the legendary Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid, La Hoya sits in a wide circular basin with 24 trails converging into one narrow area. Steps and mountain crossings connect all trails. The dry powder snow covers the mainly treeless slope until October, when you can ski and snowboard with fewer clothes on. The resort also offers an area for ski touring, plus a comprehensive snowpark with three training sectors. Off-piste deep snow attracts freestylers with its steep chutes, wide-open bowls, and vertical cornices. Amenities include ten ski lifts and a restaurant with rich food at reasonable prices. Take a look at our Esquel vacation planner to schedule your visit to La Hoya and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • It is a ski resort with a very good infrastructure for the visitor who is not a fan of skiing. This well maintained and it is worth visiting it. Compared to other ski resorts is more economical, what makes it even better!

  • After having crossed the path of nature that offers us the Park los Alerces, Cerro La Hoya is another obligatory stop for the Valley in which the city is located. In winter is the second best Center of Sky. Without fail add La Trochita
