La Hoya, Esquel

4.3
#2 of 6 in Outdoors in Esquel
A small ski resort with a big history, including the legendary Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid, La Hoya sits in a wide circular basin with 24 trails converging into one narrow area. Steps and mountain crossings connect all trails. The dry powder snow covers the mainly treeless slope until October, when you can ski and snowboard with fewer clothes on. The resort also offers an area for ski touring, plus a comprehensive snowpark with three training sectors. Off-piste deep snow attracts freestylers with its steep chutes, wide-open bowls, and vertical cornices. Amenities include ten ski lifts and a restaurant with rich food at reasonable prices. We arrived at the base of the hill where we rented costumes of snow, then we got pass pedestrians and went down in the shelter stone, there walk through the snow, take us photos, take a coffee rich with handcrafted cakes, and for lunch to find what you want at good prices. It has wifi and outlets for charging celus. We loved the place, it is not necessary to consume can enter with your meal. When we got out we take a coffee in Slalom while we listened good music in a dream landscape.

Excellent track and attention! Very good snow.! for those who visit for the first time, beautiful road of tight curves and cliffs, with snow-covered corners so beautiful as much. the chairlift? great, ideal for those not suffering from vertigo, that if, it won't mean frustrating, it can become a torture of a little more than 12 minutes, going up a slope by others steep. No climbing with children who can scare, is Heavy! not to mention as he did this server which came up with a drink and we had a very bad.
