Outdoor Activity
A small ski resort with a big history, including the legendary Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid, La Hoya sits in a wide circular basin with 24 trails converging into one narrow area. Steps and mountain crossings connect all trails. The dry powder snow covers the mainly treeless slope until October, when you can ski and snowboard with fewer clothes on. The resort also offers an area for ski touring, plus a comprehensive snowpark with three training sectors. Off-piste deep snow attracts freestylers with its steep chutes, wide-open bowls, and vertical cornices. Amenities include ten ski lifts and a restaurant with rich food at reasonable prices. Take a look at our Esquel vacation planner to schedule your visit to La Hoya and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • It was my first time skiing and I loved it. It is not that popular like the ski resorts in Bariloche for example, but is cheaper. You dont need to wait in line to get down the tracks or to the ski lif...  more »
  • It is sports, family, special, unique, somewhere with tracks of sky for different levels, a discrete Hill, with people of good treatment, and you mounted the skies, an every day experience unique. Ideal to go with the children of any size, you can learn to ski at a lower cost than elsewhere.
