  • Trail well demarcated, with water on the path but just from 1:30 hs. Passes for several Woods of Beech and Ñires. Total interaction with nature. At the top the view is impressive. Watch wild cows.

  • The track is the first trial of bubbling little then requires a bit of effort especially when it starts to climb the mountain. Got snow on the way but it wasn't a bother. It was certainly one of the most beautiful views in Patagonia. Be sure to do.

  • This Trekking is that we liked, we did it 2 times, since the first time could not go to the Summit of the lie by the wind. Also were lucky the day before Nevus much and that you gave a contrast to the incredible Lenga forest landscape! To go up to the viewpoint does not have much difficulty, now make the Summit requires good physical condition. Impressive view from the top, stay against the Cerro Solo... Vale penalty and more also.

Where to stay in El Chalten

Thanks to the city's small size, almost all of the accommodation options in El Chalten are within easy walking distance of anything of note in town. Most "hotels" are in fact cozy alpine-style lodges catering to international visitors, and tend to be on the pricier side due to their upscale amenities. Alternatively, you can stay in one of the many campsites outside town, though weather here can be harsh. During the high season in January and February, you'll need to book at least a month or two in advance as lodging fills up fast. Keep in mind that El Chalten depends heavily on seasonal tourism for its income, and many hotels and lodges, particularly smaller, family-run affairs, close down during the winter off-season. On the flip side, many of those that remain open offer lower winter rates.
