  • We face in not very good physical condition, the next day to L3. The day accompanied not much, cloudy and threatening rain. But there was another day, it was that or ever, and went... It is nine kilometers of trail to Laguna Torre. One couple more up to Mirador Maestri. The initial ascent is less difficult than of L3, with slanted flat stones. At times is like go up the ramp to the garage. After the lookout (seen from afar) the path is made plain and just walk. There we spotted a pair of condors at the top. The weather was very changeable, with some wind and cold day. Generally cloudy, you lloviznó, we saw huge Rainbow arcing, at times he was leaving Sun between clouds... After a small rise in the last 500 meters of travel, after three hours and peak in March, appears the lagoon, with the glacier, ice floes and the Hill. Beautiful landscape, in our case overshadowed by a cloudy day that concealed the hills and subtracted magnificence, and a lake with few icebergs, but certainly worth it. Return, with the accumulated exhaustion of the previous day, was an ordeal. It was not worse thanks to the trekking pole. But it was worth it. We did it in less than three hours. Path less demanding than L3, recommended to enjoy a unique landscape without much effort.

  • The scenery in Patagonia is awesome. The trail to the Laguna Torres has stretches with climbs, the first few km then gets a little flatter. After reaching the Laguna you can keep walking, around the Lake, until it reaches the Glacier Torres. This section is for a path with many stones. The glacier is beautiful.

  • After an intense hike, that does not require nothing but a good pair of sneakers, water for the first part of the journey, and snacks to replenish energy, arrives first at the viewpoint of the Tower, then iterates through the glacial Valley of the river Fitz Roy and finally, after climbing a young Brunettes will reach the shore of the lagoon. We had a cloudy day, hiding in part to the Tower, but the gap, with its icebergs, glaciers coming to it, the silence was filled all the expectations.

  • Amazing place, one required rides of any visit to el Chalten. It is a breathtaking beauty and justified, by far, the long (and beautiful) hike, which is required to get to see it.
