Lago Argentino is very extensive and beautiful. Calafate can be seen from many perspectives and recommend do it because it's worth. I've seen from the window of the Hotel, crossing the long waterfront, on the way to the Perito Moreno glacier or simply out to make a tour of the city. It is really impressive and offers an incommensurable peace! Only birds are heard, caulkers and other types of vegetation are seen to his around, flamingos and ducks, geese, birds of all kinds. Behind the mountains are always present with their snow-capped peaks that are reflected in the days of Sun in Lake and allows to view a postcard so beautiful that it can not believe! I recommend strongly to do a tour of the waterfront away from the city, as returning to the airport, until you reach giant beaches that are worth knowing. The way everything is landscape. You can see the city from below, the Lake in all its splendor, see blocks of ice of glacier landslides, birds, flamingos, go through the reservation without having to login and pay input and get far Lake is completely open to our eyes. It's really wonderful!

Where to stay in El Calafate

El Calafate offers abundant lodgings, from budget-friendly guesthouses to four-star hotels. Top beds sell out well before the peak season (October to April, and especially December to February), so it's a good idea to reserve in advance if you plan to visit during that time. Spontaneous travelers without prior arrangements can look for youth hostels, many of which are located just outside of town. To stay in comfort without burning a hole in your wallet, consider vacationing here during the low season, when most hotels offer deep discounts.
