  • The resort is beautiful. Navigating to the location of the resort is already an attraction! The location is beautiful, we do a tour with the guides of the resort, there are groups with guides speaking English and Spanish. Lunch is delicious and showered the good wine. At the end we did a 4 x 4 that was also very good. The resort does not work in the winter months.

  • We were visiting the day before the Perito Moreno glacier, so the bar was very high. We keep this day to make Cristina stay full-day excursion. Visit the Upsala glacier is pretty, you can see a beautiful blue icebergs, but ceases to be worthwhile when to get there you need 3 hours boat trip and you can not get enough the glacier due to landslides that suffers. After 20 minutes photographing icebergs we spent another hour and a half by boat to stay. The site is nice and the Patagonian landscape also, taking some small trekking and walk into jeep pretty cool. The excursion for the stay is made us a little heavy, too long and not very interesting. And again another hour and a half boat to get to where we had buses. We had been able to dispense with perfectly this day and it used on other side.

  • The Estancia Cristina is an enchanting, magical. The structure stands in the middle of the Patagonian wild nature but hospitable. The Interior of the Estancia are from 5 star accommodation, as well as the restaurant, the dishes served, the wines. Nothing is left to chance. Unforgettable details of a holiday to be repeated in order to renew the spell of evenings to listen to the silence with a book, hiking in this corner of the world only or even visits to glaciers. Je t'adore Estancia Cristina!!!

  • Estancia Cristina was a once in a lifetime experience, this is a full day excursion with a variety of options available. Plan to leave early in the morning the catamaran leaves around 8:30 AM, you cross a lake while observing icebergs and mountainesque landscapes, go hiking to a majestic glacier and learn about the history of Estancia. I would recommend the 6 mile hike, but there are other excursions available if you don't enjoy hiking. The guides are very pleasant and so knowledgeable. Along the excursion you gain knowledge of the effects of global warming to the Patagonian glaciers, the family history behind Estancia and how passionate the family was about the preservation of land and its wildlife. With great effort, the national park administration are able to keep the family history that is tied to the land alive.
  • My family and I loved this excursion. The views of the Upsala glacier are stunning, and the whole excursion is very well organized. It's very pricey and the boat trip is a bit long (3 hours to go, 1.5 hours to come back), but it's a great experience nonetheless.
  • Beautiful place! Impressive waterfall of dogs! Upsala glacier, incredible! Wonder created by God!

  • The Instance has no big attractions, Cristina the Museum does not have nothing to arouse the public interest by presenting only items of the family owner of the Instance. Lunch on site is very good, although not be sophisticated, the funcionairos are all very attentive and kind. To Instantiate Cristina worth for your visit the Upsala Glacier, which sits on your property.

Where to stay in El Calafate

El Calafate offers abundant lodgings, from budget-friendly guesthouses to four-star hotels. Top beds sell out well before the peak season (October to April, and especially December to February), so it's a good idea to reserve in advance if you plan to visit during that time. Spontaneous travelers without prior arrangements can look for youth hostels, many of which are located just outside of town. To stay in comfort without burning a hole in your wallet, consider vacationing here during the low season, when most hotels offer deep discounts.
