One of the city's main arteries, Av del Libertador was built in 1885 to ease the rapidly growing center's congestion problems. The 7 km (4.5 mi) avenue connects the central Retiro station to Tigre in the north, via the desirable neighborhood of Palermo. Walk down the avenue at your own leisure, stopping along the way at one of many cafes and restaurants for refreshments. You can also find plenty of shops and travel agents along the street. A visit to Av del Libertador represents just the start of the adventure when you use our El Calafate vacation generator to plot your vacation.

  • It is the main avenue of the town of El Calafate. It is very picturesque because has the figure of boulevard and along not more than 10 blocks are concentrated in his hands the main shops, bars and pizzerias of the place.
