  • It is one of the longer trails: are fifteen kilometers which will travel at an average of seven hours. After crossing the Yangtze River by the gateway (bridge of wood; unforgettable!), the first part of the ascent is very hard, because it is very steep. Once the initial difficulty, the trail becomes more enjoyable: there are sections on rise, others down and even some nearly flat. Not again have too steep slopes. It's all beautiful: the trees are huge, there are small streams that cross all the time, the viewpoints presented views of indescribable and towards the end one begins to March to the edge of the Brook Teno, whose source is located in Glacier. The road runs almost everything in the shade, which is not one minor detail. The final stretch is long: the feeling, augmented by fatigue, is "this does not stop more!". But yes, itself ends and the beauty of the place makes that every effort, every difficulty, have valid the penalty. Hints:-bring a litre and half of water per person, since the stream where you can recharge is very up - avoid loading unnecessary weight: in the final stretch, every gram counts - calculate well the silver that is uploaded and put food: while the overnight stay at the refuge is in price, both CARP and I slept , else is very expensive (some things are justified, others not so much)

  • Makes several years that practice trekking with my woman, and the travel from the Bolson to the refuge and then to the glacier we liked much. We left at 8 am from the city in Remis to the alley Doña Rosa where begins the journey, another option would have been to stay in the campsite Hue Nain but at the time it was closed, it all depends on if they visit other shelters or not on the road. Did night in the refuge and to the day following climbed to the glacier, we took 4 hours ida and turned, the road is signposted with milestones of stones, marks of painting and pennants, if have care not you can lose. The road is by moments steep being necessary climbing, not are estricatamente needed them canes of trekking but always help.
