(4.4/5 based on 150 reviews on the web)
Take a trip to Florentino Ameghino Dam, a gravity river dam in a picturesque valley. Located on the Chubut River, which is supplied by snow melting from the Andes, the dam was inaugurated in 1963 and named after an Argentine natural scientist. Admire the view of the imposing structure, which is surrounded by interesting rock formations, and spans the emerald waters of the river. Explore the tranquil area on a bike, walk, or try your hand at canoeing and kayaking in the region. You can bathe and swim in the river water, just remember it's very cold. • Many kilometers to see a well-known landscape. It's nice, but it would not return. All wiring not you can never reach the edge of the River, this. The best view is from the top of the dam. It has a campground and grills.

  • Access to the small village, at the foot of the dam is worthy of travel is. By the way is passes by a pair of tunnels (little common in the Argentina) and is can see the village from the wall of the dam. The people are very nice and gentle.
