(4.1/5 based on 80+ reviews on the web)
Stroll past masterpieces from the 16th to 20th centuries with a visit to Museo Municipal de Bellas Artes. Housed in an elegant and classical building from 1929, the museum of fine art was begun in 1840. Ten different busts of the distinguished Tenerife nobility line the exterior of the museum. In more than 14 exhibition rooms you'll find Flemish paintings of the likes of Pieter Coecke van Aelst, José de Rivera, and Pieter Bruegel (the Elder). After you've seen it all, retreat to the on-site cafe for tea, breads, raw truffles, and artisan beer as you reflect on the art you've just witnessed. • My idea of attending an opening of exhibition is not enter to see how the staff placed the banners of sponsors

  • On Wednesdays the entrance in the museums are free. I took it and went to meet this museum that was once the home of a family. Detail: the place is huge, and it seems to me that only 8 people lived there. I went over to see the architecture and interior decoration of the place, than the works, which in fact are also interesting. Note the floor of the rooms of the Museum: are mosaics! It's beautiful! I was thinking of who put each one of the pieces to form the floor.
