Stroll past masterpieces from the 16th to 20th centuries with a visit to Museo Municipal de Bellas Artes. Housed in an elegant and classical building from 1929, the museum of fine art was begun in 1840. Ten different busts of the distinguished Tenerife nobility line the exterior of the museum. In more than 14 exhibition rooms you'll find Flemish paintings of the likes of Pieter Coecke van Aelst, José de Rivera, and Pieter Bruegel (the Elder). After you've seen it all, retreat to the on-site cafe for tea, breads, raw truffles, and artisan beer as you reflect on the art you've just witnessed. • The building is beautiful, but maintenance is missing. A few months ago, when I went, had paintings resting on the floor, was closed to the public the first floor and was a huge mess in the room of restorations. Then, when I came back about two months ago, he was already better (once audiences were some internal problems). But there was no one at the reception. Periodically there are exhibitions of different artists, but also lacks updated and shuttle. Everytime I go, it is to admire the building, otherwise, it's a shame because it is very cute.

  • This museum, which is located in the central area of the city at about 300 metres from the Plaza San Martin occupies a beautiful residence that was built between 1905 and 1910. The mansion was built in French style and the front gate, as Gates, corresponding to the Luis XVI style. The Museum presents several rooms containing an important collection of paintings, sculptures, the drawings and engravings of Argentine artists, beginning in the 19th century and reaches to the present day. When we visited it was an exhibition of photographs "Art Nouveau in Córdoba (1900-1930)" that found us very interesting and another "Working Dead. Art and work that we didn't much. To our liking, we felt that was missing a bit of lighting in the rooms and one of them was in repairs. Thus, it is worth visiting it, above all by the architecture of the House. The Museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 to 20 hours and admission is free. You must not confuse this Museum, called Dr. Genaro Pérez with the Ferreyra Palace, since both are fine arts, this is the Palacio Ferreyra Provincial and Municipal.
