Museo Historico UNC Manzana Jesuitica, Cordoba

(4.6/5 based on 1,600+ reviews on the web)
Originally built by Jesuit missionaries in the 17th century, Museo Historico UNC Manzana Jesuitica now stands out as one of the most picturesque areas of Córdoba. King Charles III expelled the Jesuits in 1767--not only from the quarter they had created, but from the entire continent of South America. Their legacy lives on, however, in the historical neighborhood's many important buildings. Wander through its storied streets, stopping to appreciate the church, monastery, friary, and charming university, which still educates young Argentines today. Put Museo Historico UNC Manzana Jesuitica at the forefront of your travel plans using our Cordoba trip itinerary builder.

  • I did the tour in English since the last tour in Spanish already had begun that day. We were only two people. The guide we gave much information on the site although very fast and not in the best English... (I'm an English teacher). But just understood you... It is a very interesting place if you like to learn about the history of the place that was not only important for the city of Cordoba, but what happened here had repercussions in the rest of the country. The entrance is only 20 pesos. Check before you go tour schedules. An important detail, can not take pictures, except in the Church and the garden which was the first botanical garden in the country.

  • Excellent historical walk. Beautiful constructions, the old University is located. Various buildings, libraries. Not to be missed. There are guided tours but you can some simply walk and dive into the history of one of the oldest cities of the country.
