Museo Historico UNC Manzana Jesuitica, Cordoba

(4.6/5 based on 1,600+ reviews on the web)
Originally built by Jesuit missionaries in the 17th century, Museo Historico UNC Manzana Jesuitica now stands out as one of the most picturesque areas of Córdoba. King Charles III expelled the Jesuits in 1767--not only from the quarter they had created, but from the entire continent of South America. Their legacy lives on, however, in the historical neighborhood's many important buildings. Wander through its storied streets, stopping to appreciate the church, monastery, friary, and charming university, which still educates young Argentines today. Put Museo Historico UNC Manzana Jesuitica at the forefront of your travel plans using our Cordoba trip itinerary builder.

  • In the framework of a tour visiting the Jesuit estancias of Córdoba, we ended up in the capital by visiting the Jesuit block. Excellent guide who accompanied us, pointed out that historical data with interesting anecdotes and some up to funny. It was very hot, but in these cloisters are not felt. All very well preserved and refurbished. Highly recommended to learn more about the work of this order surprising.

  • The Apple Jesuit is a jewel with regard to history and architecture, but I feel that not is valued as should. The Church of the company of Jesus this well-preserved but lack information. The streets cobbled has magic and nostalgia to the think the story that traffic there. Places like the Council are quite abandoned and I repeat, desvalorados. A penalty, if we think that Cordoba is a city as cosmopolitan.
