  • The giant's cross towards the Valley of Traslasierras is very cute by the way of the high peaks (Ruth prov. 34) asphalt, very safe, stunning landscapes, but the true crossroads of the high peaks should be done by the old road of the hanging bridges towards Copina and El Condor to then return to route 34 and get off to Mina Clavero. It is a very winding, gravel road, between giant rocks and streams that are crossed by bridges of wood and iron that creak when you cross them. Going carefully you can see the landscape from the same landscape.

  • The massif of Los Gigantes is a place that should not be missed if you walk through Tanti and surroundings, especially if you like trekking. I would say that it is the paradise of trekking in the area, at the height of the Hill Uritorco, also of Punilla, and the Giants even with some more complexity. It is not family, except that it is guys are accustomed to this type of excursions that are over 10 years old. To arrive and be able to make at least half of the possible trekking on the day should start early, especially considering that from Tanti are 30 km by gravel in parts with irregular status, which takes 1 hour by car. If you are not with auto, consult Tourism Office of Tanti how to reach by other means. At the roundabout, where is received to the traveller and given instructions on the route of ascent, is charged parking and an entry that varies depending on the time of year. The place is private, so charge. I spent the last week in October, and they charged me $ 100 more $ 35 parking. In general tends to be more cool than in the city. Bear coat, even in summer it can be windy and cool day there above. Don't forget sunscreen, Sun beats strong in the heights, and many drink. The rise marked only to the sector of the Hornito cave paintings on stones. Then you need to be attentive to the way because it is easy to get lost. Always follow the trail, by more invisible as it seems, the trail, which in parts seems to miss. To get to do rise to the top of the Hill of the cross, stunning view of the Valley of Punilla, should begin the ascent before 11 am, to go quiet enjoying. At the very least are 2 hours of walking of ida. You can reach the gorilla and cerro Mogotes, but travel can bring back and forth about 8 hours if amateur of these practices are. De la Cruz Hill longer travel on its single. Beautiful views and formations. Excursion, in short, not to be missed.

  • A surprising route, ascent and sinuous curves, the landscape changes, from Pampa de Achala until the high peaks, they are the Sierras Chicas and valleys. Contact with the most preserved nature and trekking possibilities. Inform yourself well before leaving, went directly to the path without check or book and we missed the opportunity to go on excursions, entrance to the trails are not very visible from route if one does not have information. Also only the views are breathtaking. Check the status of the route before you leave, be closed by frost or fog. In October we toc {or a sunny day with excellent visibility.
