Laguna Mar Chiquita, Cordoba

4.3
#2 of 6 in Parks in Cordoba
Come to Laguna Mar Chiquita, the largest naturally formed salt lake in the country. Very shallow in areas, the lake's surface ranges from 2000 to 6000 sq km (1242 to 3728 sq mi), with this fluctuation creating an area of wetland, known for its biodiversity. Take a tour around the ruins of the tourism industry that grew here between 1945 and 1980, a controversial period that saw the area linked with Nazis in the years following World War II. • Depending on the time of year the place can be very maneirinho. I went with my husband and two friends. The place was packed with people because it's a holiday so to get Sun and give a little jump in the water was impossible and be pretty nasty. We like the bars and we saw some beautiful flamingos.

  • Mar Chiquita is clearly a rarity and also a very beautiful place. But Miramar is a village without interest, with bad food and without any kind of infrastructure to enjoy Delas waters (an of the most salty of the world, even compared to the oceans). "To enter the"beach"between very strong music a restoransucho front (the courtyard) with a regrettable selection of the peorcito of the tropicalismo, must leave the car two or three blocks away, where it appears a"caregiver"enabled by the municipality, cobra or$ s4 x the" right"to park. After a walk of two or three blocks by ugly places, will reach the beach in question, to which it has spread you a dirty sand (since the sea does not add sand, but clay which is even said that it is healing) and along a path marked by the footsteps of the people who will be taking care of rubble and things that one step into the water usually tropesarse in remains of buildings that remain from previous floods. It should float to not step on these remains, and that, nothing more. On the beaches rent beach umbrellas and chairs is very expensive, and there are a dozens tourists who carry their own equipment of music (with the dominant regaeton) as if in a nightclub in the neighborhood we were talking about. I recommend a walk most advanced autumn, a ride in boat (is not expensive) whose duration is one hour, see some flamingos, visit the remains of the Vienna Hotel (has schedules and Guide) by u$ s 3.5 and get it.

  • Nice place to relax outdoors and take advantage and swim in the huge saltwater lagoon. It has lifeguards who are aware of what is happening in the lagoon, and rescue team. There are sectors that have sand and parasols rental.
