Laguna Mar Chiquita, Cordoba

4.2
#2 of 6 in Parks in Cordoba
Come to Laguna Mar Chiquita, the largest naturally formed salt lake in the country. Very shallow in areas, the lake's surface ranges from 2000 to 6000 sq km (1242 to 3728 sq mi), with this fluctuation creating an area of wetland, known for its biodiversity. Take a tour around the ruins of the tourism industry that grew here between 1945 and 1980, a controversial period that saw the area linked with Nazis in the years following World War II. • We were the last days of September, it is very cute, people goes on weekends, you can see flamingos in quantity and the village is small for a weekend this well-people go more with hot flashes, because the Lake has healing mud by the saltpeter. It is missing that the authorities repair the beach, but it is pretty.

  • It is a village of about 4000 inhabitants with lots of history, since a flood in the year 79 left over 70% of the people under the water, and still remains so. There is also a hotel in ruins with its history. It is called Vienna. There is now a hotel casino 4-star and lot of apart, hotels, apartments and cabins. Varied dining options and being the specialty the Otter and the silverside. In summer the hotel beds are filled with 100%. The Lake is salty and for its level of salinity compared with the dead sea.
