Church Tourist Spot
Stop and take a second look at Iglesia de Los Capuchinos to convince your eyes you're not just seeing things--the twin-spired church is, in fact, missing its left spire. What might seem like an unfinished job actually represents the death of the body, while the completed right spire depicts the soul's ascension to heaven. Step inside to absorb the dazzling blue ceiling and appreciate the church's renowned paintings and striped columns. Although it seems much older, the Franciscan church was only completed in 1936. • Church of Cappuccinos or Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus-is located between the streets Buenos Aires, Obispo de Oro, in the New Cordoba. Its construction began in 1926 and was completed in 1934. It has medieval architecture in French Gothic style. It is considered one of the 7 Wonders of Cordoba, being an attraction not to be missed. It is worth to enjoy your beautiful architecture and the large number of paintings and sculptures, the roof of the Church is composed of various vaults of edges, and in each one of the vaults was painted the night sky of Córdoba in the different months of the year of 1930. The Church can be visited from Monday to Friday from 16:00 at 19:45. On Saturdays and Sundays from 9 to 12 pm. Recommend book a good time to visit the Church and make beautiful pictures of all your construction, sculptures and paintings. Highly recommended!!!

  • Its architecture is stunning both inside and out. It is very, very beautiful. You stay to just watching it. The best thing to do is to climb the ladder that is on the right side of the altar to the image of Mary that is high, also the ladder takes you to a room with an incredible for a moment of prayer acoustic. And it allows you to see the Church from above.
