Capilla Domestica Compania de Jesus, Cordoba
(4.8/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web)
Behind the lovely brick facade of Capilla Domestica Compania de Jesus, an intriguing blend of influences awaits. Consecrated in 1668, the oldest Jesuit church in Córdoba features a colorful altar, designed by an Italian architect but including distinct indigenous touches. The building's French architect had a background in shipbuilding; note how the chapels on either side of the nave resemble the port and starboard flanks of a ship. Look up and admire the intricate murals that wind across the church's curved roof. • The best thing to do is to walk through the pedestrian streets that surround it until you reach the chapel when it fell and the Sun, the streets are filled with activities, musicians, bars and beautiful with its lighting Chapel. Also in that time period will be more likely to visit an interior. So during the day it is usually closed.
