Archivo Provincial de la Memoria, Cordoba

(4.3/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web)
Pay tribute to and contemplate the lives lost during Argentina's military junta reign in the 1980s at Archivo Provincial de la Memoria. The archival center remembers the horrific acts inflicted upon the Argentine public from state police during the political troubles of the time. Look out for the especially moving photos of the victims with their families before the troubles began, which portray smiling, happy people unaware of what was to come. Even if you're not well-versed in recent South American history, you can appreciate the archive for its fearless documentation of the state’s wrongdoings during the country's most turbulent times. • The place you can visit in a short time (about an hour). It is a stunning place from the emotional point of view, armed with extreme caution. Recommended.

  • Excellent to visit and meet a center of detention and a bit of history and memories of the dictatorship. The place is well represented, with samples of old things and some new, video, audio, etc. Admission is free and the journey is short.
