Historic Site Tourist Spot
Visit a rustic and charming monument to the agricultural heritage of the area at Molino Forclaz, an aesthetically pleasing stone windmill. The brainchild of Juan Bautista Forclaz, a Swiss immigrant, the windmill was completed in 1890. Unfortunately, due to the lack of proper wind speed and consistency required for the blades to turn, the windmill went largely unused until it became a local attraction and a National Historic Landmark in 1985. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Molino Forclaz by using our Colon travel itinerary planner.

  • A very interesting place for its history. Meet some of the first settlers of the area and the difficulties they have faced. If you are there wanting to take something and know the city and its history be sure to go.
