Molino Forclaz, Colon

(4.1/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web)
Visit a rustic and charming monument to the agricultural heritage of the area at Molino Forclaz, an aesthetically pleasing stone windmill. The brainchild of Juan Bautista Forclaz, a Swiss immigrant, the windmill was completed in 1890. Unfortunately, due to the lack of proper wind speed and consistency required for the blades to turn, the windmill went largely unused until it became a local attraction and a National Historic Landmark in 1985.
