Trip Planner: South America / Argentina / Patagonia / Province of Neuquen / Caviahue / Nature / Cascada del Rio Agrio
At Cascada del Rio Agrio, water plummets down into a crater colored green, red, and orange by mineral-rich rocks and the moss growing on them. The biggest of four waterfalls along the Rio Agrio's path, the cascade is easily accessible from nearby Caviahue, either on foot or by car. Admire the symmetry of the waterfall and the nearly circular crater. Don't forget your camera--you'll want the perfect photo of this natural, multicolored sensation.
