Explore a settlement largely frozen in time at Carlos Keen, with examples of industrial architecture from the early 20th century. Founded in 1875, when workers came to the area thanks to the construction of a railway branch, the town grew in size and population at the beginning of the 20th century, reaching 4,000 inhabitants. The village now has a population of around 500, with many people leaving to seek employment in the capital since the 1940s. An old station, an attractive church, and a public library stand out as the village's most distinctive buildings, all of which come under heritage protection. • This is a town left in time but it sure got a lot of flavor! Walking around the streets you could enjoy the friendly people and early 1900 archtecture  more »
  • I went to meet the people. The restaurants are system fork free $ 350 per person, or, a family of 4 spends $ 1400! They are abused with the prices. Complete with chocolate in a House of you modest but very rich things called 5 senses.

  • It has an interesting history, the station is well maintained. It is a pity to stop artisans and food posts are put into the station... They should be next to not break the line of sight of the place.
