Los Terrones, Capilla del Monte

(4.7/5 based on 900+ reviews on the web)
Enjoy a hike through picturesque landscapes when you travel to Los Terrones. Upon entering the park, choose between two hiking trails: a short, low-difficulty trek and a longer, medium-difficulty trek. Along the way, see sandstone formations that rise toward the sky like small towers, and keep your eye out for wildlife--including condors flying overhead. Lush vegetation such as ferns and palms fills the crevices between rock formations. Hire a tour guide to take you down and through the long, meandering path of the canyon for additional information on the geological formations. Make sure to wear good shoes for hiking along the rugged tracks here, and consider taking a walking stick to help you along the extremely steep sections of the trails. Bringing water and a hat is also advised. See Los Terrones and all Capilla del Monte has to offer by arranging your trip with our Capilla del Monte vacation planner.

  • The tour short but demanding walk. Worth the penalty! In all the road you see landscapes cute, going between them rocks and crossing the stream that comes of the mountain. Bring comfortable shoes and a lot of water. The guide is not included in the entry (which comes to $ 130) so bring cash more. The entrance seemed a little expensive but I have no regrets.

  • Makes some weeks I was in those lumps. I had spoken much about this place, but what I saw and felt is beautiful. It is a magical place full of untouched nature. Elias guide is a genius (guides not paid a salary, only get what we give travellers). The difficulty of the hike is not much, but I recommend go with proper footwear and plenty of water, especially if they are in summer

  • Cristian was our guide and really saw him very qualified to teach and answer questions on different subjects, from nature to indigenous culture. The promenade is ideal for a sunny day and you can enjoy excellent views and learning along the way. With us is joined by people older and, despite some difficulties, could make all the travel. Myself in the criticism of a traveler who says that the path between the input and the base should be improved given that in some places it is quite stony.
