Nobel Prize-winning poet Pablo Neruda called Las grutas de Ongamira the saddest place in the world because its somber colonial history. A series of large caves and natural overhangs, this site is home to many nesting birds and walking routes, which reveal plentiful geological features and unimpeded vistas. Archaeological discoveries in the caves have been dated back 5,000 years, with scrapers, necklaces, and mortars among the artifacts on display in the onsite museum. In 1574, Spanish conquerors slaughtered thousands of native people here in one of the greatest tragedies of the colonial era.   • Very beautiful this place pity as it rained I was dangerous to access mountain, therefore was not allowed to enter the place but we took pictures from outside the entrance has a cost of $50.

  • After passing the gravel road pretty poceado one goes forward to that you worthwhile. And actually to climb these hills all the effort is paid more than. Beautiful is the landscape, interesting caves and traces of comechingones. Down we ate a delicious minced Cordoba. Really a place to go. If they roam to Capilla del monte does not miss it
