Complejo El Zapato, Capilla del Monte

Outdoor Activity
Legend has it that hundreds of years ago, on every thirteenth moon, Indian chiefs, shamans, and healers would gather under Complejo El Zapato, which was shaped by wind and erosion in the recognizable form of a shoe. "The Shoe" clearly stands out among other granite rocks in this rugged and imposing mountain terrain. Look for a cave and a fountain next to the stone steps at the foot of the rock. Climb to the top of the rock for scenic views of the surroundings, including the Dolores River and the dam. A giant slide and a zipline will attract adventurous souls, while the rest can chill and grab a bite at a restaurant. For a memento to bring home, visit the crafts fair. • Go for the sunset hours, bring jacket that it's cold and wind above. Also wear slippers to climb.

  • We were finished the season, so it was almost fully closed, but the view from the shoe is very nice, has two steps check stone up and down, a moon with the date to get you pictures and cave lovers, the people very friendly and willing to take photos and position yourself in the free zona.todo

  • Both the complex and the attraction (the shoe) shows the passage of time, wear, and quickly makes us guess that his best years have been far away. Dirty, full of graffiti spray, glimpsed just remains of what made 20 or 30 years ago was. A pity.

  • Nice place, nice $20 pesos parking. But very come down, many lack of maintenance. But it has a beautiful view of the Valley and the mountains for taking photos.

  • The shoe itself is fantastic. What is complex is very neglected despite the goodwill and warmth of the people who work there. And to make matters worse, stupid people who painted stones with spray paint... in the end.

  • Cute place to take picture but looks very sloppy. You pay $20 for estacionar.no there is much more to see.
