Complejo El Zapato, Capilla del Monte

(1/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Legend has it that hundreds of years ago, on every thirteenth moon, Indian chiefs, shamans, and healers would gather under Complejo El Zapato, which was shaped by wind and erosion in the recognizable form of a shoe. "The Shoe" clearly stands out among other granite rocks in this rugged and imposing mountain terrain. Look for a cave and a fountain next to the stone steps at the foot of the rock. Climb to the top of the rock for scenic views of the surroundings, including the Dolores River and the dam. A giant slide and a zipline will attract adventurous souls, while the rest can chill and grab a bite at a restaurant. For a memento to bring home, visit the crafts fair. • Cute place but somewhat neglected. Painted with spray and the truth it felt a loss of time despite having a pretty panoramic of the environment. He would not return. Not I liked

  • The place is really unique, think how is made those formations and the landscape only that make up, is a CITES forced. The sad thing is that it is not well maintained, something abandoned although it improved slightly compared to previous years. The hand of man vandalizing our geography, a pity! They charge you with auto input only.

  • The historic rock shoes-shaped formation today is just that. A attractive to go to see the stone and observe the landscape that is seen from there. The facilities that the surround are neglected, dirty. It is very depressing. Do not charge entry.
