Cerro Uritorco, Capilla del Monte

(3.9/5 based on 800+ reviews on the web)
Climb to the highest peak of the Sierras Chicas in a rewarding trek at Cerro Uritorco. Rated as a medium-difficulty hike, the official trail takes most of the day to complete. Once at the top, walk around to reap the fullest reward, as you'll get a sweeping view of the mountains and even find some other remote spots for pictures. The mountain has been a hotspot for UFO sightings and other paranormal incidents--hence the alien statues at the bottom of the park. • Take sunscreen, food (fruit), water (lots of water, at least 2 litres), and mood. It's hard but upstairs is worth. Were 3:45 to climb and 2:30 to go down (11 km). The trail is well-marked with various shortcuts (sometimes not worth it, so be careful), the path is of loose stone and not from Earth, making it all more complicated. the ideal is to get there early, because after one is no longer allowed up the mountain. The cost per person is 250 person. At the entrance You fills a record with your data, receives a ticket from ticket mountain in return must be delivered. You can't camp out on the mountain. There is a "rescue Base" halfway (2200 mts) where there's always a first responder in case of any complications. The four a first responder goes to the top and makes everyone starts the descent compulsorily. During the ascent you have magnificent prospects of nature, the mountains, the cities ... well worth it. On the way back You can take a bath in the River to relax and recover some of the energy.

  • the 2 times I went to this adventure the pass very well. It is tiring climb up the Hill, 3 to 4 hours according to the rhythm of one. I uploaded in 2 hours and a half. Access charge and you have to bring at least 2 liters of water per person.
