Plaza Italia, Buenos Aires

2.6
A small urban park draws visitors to Plaza Italia, featuring a statue of Giuseppe Garibaldi, who fought in Europe and South America during the 19th century and earned the nickname the "Hero of the Two Worlds." At one corner of the park, you'll see a column brought from the Roman Forum--at more than 2,000 years old, it is one of the most significant monuments in the capital. • Nice central point if you're in Palermo and from here must leave. The buses, metro, etc goes here all together.

  • It is not the place most emblematic of the city nor much less, this good already. Perhaps it could be a little more value. Is currently a place of connections of buses and subways because close all

  • I wouldn't say it's particularly "pretty" but it has a few stores that are iconic, like Pizzeria Kentucky, Havana Cafe, and it's the gateway to the Botanic Garden, Bosques de Palermo. I wouldn't hang out here but definitely lots of interesting things around.
  • Beariful square full of history and incredible place to take some pics and enjoy the view, this is a must in Bs.
  • Plaza Italia is one of those hubs you'll find in Buenos Aires. Beautiful gardens surrounds it (El Botánico and Los bosques de Palermo ). I'd recommend to go there and walk from there to Los Lagos de Palermo :)
  • Piaza italia is abvery cool plaza, there is a metro station (for the city center), there is near a park and a botanic garden, in the middle there is the munument dedicated to garibaldi, an italian hero. Is nice how the italian comunity can have a nice place too
  • Its a good green area in the middle of the city. Nice place to visit.

Where to stay in Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires offers an impressive selection of budget-friendly and mid-range lodgings, as well as pricier, more luxurious options for visitors who don't mind splashing out. Good rooms are scattered across town, but your best bet for economical hostels remains San Telmo, a neighborhood on the edge of downtown. For boutique establishments and international five-star hotels, head to Palermo, Recoleta, or Puerto Madero, upscale neighborhoods drawing the majority of foreign visitors.
