Plaza Italia, Buenos Aires
(2.6/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web)
A small urban park draws visitors to Plaza Italia, featuring a statue of Giuseppe Garibaldi, who fought in Europe and South America during the 19th century and earned the nickname the "Hero of the Two Worlds." At one corner of the park, you'll see a column brought from the Roman Forum--at more than 2,000 years old, it is one of the most significant monuments in the capital. • Great space to relax and enjoy the nature in the middle of Buenos Aires. Is very close to restaurants and kiosks, where you can buy food, drinks (rarely has alcohol, but there's always a lot of juices and soft drinks), and has a subway at the entrance of the square (which is actually a park) and buses beside. Is cool, lets you ride a bike and pets.

  • This square more that to use it in place of recreation is used as reference point and trans-shipment of transport since there are many bus lines and one of the lines of the subway and very close to a rail link

  • Important point in the city. There meets a major subway station and is a place where many bus lines stops. In the area there is an important fair of used books. The square itself is not too cute and also nearby are the botanical gardens and the Zoo, most beautiful green spaces to explore

  • A rather grubby plaza with a large statute. However, it represents a useful transport hub with many buses, the Subte, Metrobus and bicisenda all connecting at Plaza Italia. Around the Plaza are the entrances to the Botanical Gardens, La Rural exhibition centre and the new EcoParque (formerly the city zoo)
  • One of the most important key points in the city, it is located on a very important avenue (Av. del Libertador). Near many important and diverse places, from Art Museums to well-maintained woods. "Plaza del Libertador" is very well maintained and contains beautiful art. A must-visit for tourist.
  • Eat some pizza, visit the "Jardín botanico". Go to the zoo, or just walk 4 blocks to the "Rosedal".
  • a beautiful place, surronded by places such as Botanical Garden, the zoo, theaters and la Rural, a place in which a lot of events take place.
  • Nice square, nice food, good transport hub. Not much else.
