Plaza Francia, Buenos Aires

Categories: Historic Sites, Landmarks, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.5/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web
In the hip Recoleta neighborhood, and at the end of Avenue Quintana, sits Plaza Francia, home to a long-standing artisan craft market. The market overtakes the landscaped park every weekend, while during the week locals use the park for leisure. Come to admire the views all around the square, watch various casual games and sports taking place, and see the notable church. If you’re here on a market day, take advantage of this shopping opportunity; you'll find items like pendants, leather goods, knitted wool products, and pins, all created with the particular artist’s personal flair. Plaza Francia is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Buenos Aires Edition.

  • Famous square which houses the Recoleta market, which, in my opinion, doesn't have many attractions. The square is adjacent to the Recoleta cemetery and the Buenos Aires Design Shopping. Very nice neighborhood location surrounded by restaurants and bars. Worth the ride!

  • Weekend gets beautiful place, with fairs, stalls of food, live, music, puppet shows for children, acrobatics, etc. Super recommended to go with the mate and enjoy the grass and the Sun with friends, family, couple, animal!

  • Great place to spend a day outdoors, or visit the fairs (weekend) and close to other attractions such as the bs design, the recoleta cemetery, Church of the pillar, etc.

  • Muy buen paseo de artesanos
  • A beautiful place you can't miss when you are walking on Recoleta or around the Museu Nacional de Belas Artes.
  • Love to spend time in here. But watch your belongings as there are pickpockets in this area.
  • Muy linda plaza
  • Lovely Feria on the weekend. Lots of stuff to buy, mostly hand made.
