Plaza Francia, Buenos Aires

(4.5/5 based on 750+ reviews on the web)
In the hip Recoleta neighborhood, and at the end of Avenue Quintana, sits Plaza Francia, home to a long-standing artisan craft market. The market overtakes the landscaped park every weekend, while during the week locals use the park for leisure. Come to admire the views all around the square, watch various casual games and sports taking place, and see the notable church. If you’re here on a market day, take advantage of this shopping opportunity; you'll find items like pendants, leather goods, knitted wool products, and pins, all created with the particular artist’s personal flair. Plaza Francia is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Buenos Aires Edition.

  • The Plaza Francia is located in the Park belt in the North of Buenos Aires. In the immediate vicinity, also the beautiful cemetery la Recoletta and the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes are in addition to several picturesque parks. On weekends, many stalls are built, which offer everything from food to antiques.
