Step into the opulent Beaux Arts world of Palacio San Martín, Cancillería Argentina, an impressive mansion surrounded by a stone courtyard designed by architect Alejandro Christofersen in 1905. The building housed the Ministry of Foreign Relations from 1936 to 1993, and now serves as Ceremonial Headquarters for the Ministry. Tour the interior to see pristine marble staircases and grandiose dining rooms with gleaming chandeliers. Step out into the garden, which includes a piece of the Berlin Wall. A small onsite museum displays pre-Columbian artifacts and a number of Latin American paintings. Check the schedule of guided tours in advance and bring ID.   • This time Palace was the residence of Mercedes Castellanos de Anchorena and 10 children of which only inhabited the Palace 3 of their children since the rest had the misfortune of dying by fever and tuberculosis at the time. The Palace is divided in 3 large houses, this palace housed 150 servants that tended to only 5 members of the Group family. Mercedes Castellanos never came to inhabit it since he died before to do so. The Palace was construiido and designed by Alejandro Christophersen, a ride free e imperdilbe of ones 45 minutes, all is maintains in foot, today is the residence of ceremonies of the Chancery Argentina.

  • The Palace is located right next to Plaza San Martin, Plaza itself you can spot him. Is a very pretty, I didn't visit your interior, but on some days of the week for guided tours.

  • Views forma the Plaza, Palaces around it, Plaza Hotel, Cavamagh Building.
  • One of the of the prettiest spots in Buenos Aires. Take your time to walk around it and visit the surrounding historical buildings.
  • Take a seat on one of the park benches on a nice sunny day, smile and relax by enjoying the atmosphere. Very fine place to be on a sunny springtime day.
