Step into the opulent Beaux Arts world of Palacio San MartÍn, an impressive mansion surrounded by a stone courtyard designed by architect Alejandro Christofersen in 1905. The building housed the Ministry of Foreign Relations from 1936 to 1993, and now serves as Ceremonial Headquarters for the Ministry. Tour the interior to see pristine marble staircases and grandiose dining rooms with gleaming chandeliers. Step out into the garden, which includes a piece of the Berlin Wall. A small onsite museum displays pre-Columbian artifacts and a number of Latin American paintings. Check the schedule of guided tours in advance and bring ID.   • It is a great building, as most of the old buildings of the city, being in this place makes you think you're in Europe, by its beautiful architecture.

  • Take a seat on one of the park benches on a nice sunny day, smile and relax by enjoying the atmosphere. Very fine place to be on a sunny springtime day.
