  • BUENOS AIRES-MUSEO DE LA INMIGRACION-FORMER HOTEL DE LOS EMIGRANTES it is interesting to visit this Museum (Puerto Madero area) occupying some rooms of the former hotel built in 1880 and has hosted (for cira five days) all those people from Spain and Italy and arrived in Argentina from 1880 to 1930. In 1990 this building was declared a national historic monument. " In addition to the Museum, in a third-floor area has been a center of contemporary art. Entrance to the Museum is free

  • The former hotel is where they spent all foreigners who wanted to live in Argentina. From there could be them work somewhere in the country that is needed. They made a prior deposit which is returned after three years. Today there is an extensive database with the names of the immigrants, arrival date, ship and from where it had departed. Very emotional. It is worth to know him.

  • I recommend a visit because almost all of us are descendants of immigrants. I don't know if it will be so attractive to tourists. But for somebody it is very interesting and very educational. There are photos, bags, beds, explanations and was particularly very emotional to me.
