  • This is called Spanish monument because it was donated by Spanish residents in commemoration of the centenary of the may revolution. Its official name is monument to the Magna Charter and the four Argentine regions, since in it are represented four Argentine regions (la Pampa, Río de la Plata, los Andes and Chaco) and also reproduced a paragraph in the preamble of our Constitution ("and ensure the benefits of freedom for us, for our posterity and to all men of the world who want to live in Argentine soil"). The main body, made in marble, is stunning and a great sculptural work. You must not miss it.

  • Gift of Spain for the centenary of our homeland. An exquisite work in Carrara marble. Nearly 120 years after settled in that place does not lose its Majesty and the giant adjoining buildings could not obscure his beauty. His greatness makes it one of the greatest monuments of Buenos Aires. Of high aesthetic quality with very expressive decorative values. It categorizes and enriches mi Buenos Aires querido. At the top you can see a large statue of the Republic. The sculptural group of the basement is allegorical to the work, Los Andes, El Plata, La Pampa and El Chaco. Another not less detail: has a reproduction of a paragraph of the preamble to the national Constitution. I enjoy it whenever I pass by the place.

Where to stay in Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires offers an impressive selection of budget-friendly and mid-range lodgings, as well as pricier, more luxurious options for visitors who don't mind splashing out. Good rooms are scattered across town, but your best bet for economical hostels remains San Telmo, a neighborhood on the edge of downtown. For boutique establishments and international five-star hotels, head to Palermo, Recoleta, or Puerto Madero, upscale neighborhoods drawing the majority of foreign visitors.
