La Boca, Buenos Aires

(3,600+ reviews on the web)
Historic Walking Area
Home to the famous Caminito alleyway gallery and La Bombonera football stadium, La Boca has a reputation forged on two major tourist attractions. Make your way straight to Caminito and appreciate the dazzling colors of the buildings around you, then head to the stadium for a behind-the-scenes tour. Apart from those two attractions, you'll struggle to find much else of interest in the largely industrial neighborhood. Visit during the day, as the area has a seedy reputation at night. Put La Boca into our Buenos Aires trip itinerary builder to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Buenos Aires.

  • I'd heard a lot about the La Boca District but was a little surprised to discover just how small the main area actually was. Rather contrived in places. Tango performances outside a restaurant or two....  more »
  • For those who like football and Argentines are those passionate but a place more without much importance to me, but at least go without much expectation.

  • Around the stadium of Boca Juniors the streets are ugly and don't look very safe, but improve near Caminito. The colorful houses, bars and restaurants and tourists make up the most peculiar landscape of Buenos Aires. In the summer is unbearably hot, with little opportunity to run away from the Sun.
