La Boca, Buenos Aires

(3/5 based on 3,600+ reviews on the web)
Home to the famous Caminito alleyway gallery and La Bombonera football stadium, La Boca has a reputation forged on two major tourist attractions. Make your way straight to Caminito and appreciate the dazzling colors of the buildings around you, then head to the stadium for a behind-the-scenes tour. Apart from those two attractions, you'll struggle to find much else of interest in the largely industrial neighborhood. Visit during the day, as the area has a seedy reputation at night. Put La Boca into our Buenos Aires trip itinerary builder to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Buenos Aires.

  • I was to be one of the most famous and visited tourist attractions of Buenos Aires. It's all colorful, very different ... but the stench and grime discourage! I know it's a periphery, but simply wouldn't go again if I was once again in Buenos Aires. In some sidewalks had sewage released and many feces, which we can't even know if they're just animals or humans. The only way really to walk in the streets, and busiest day! When I was a resident stopped me and told me not to go ahead in a certain street ... IE, it is really dangerous to walk there in the streets outside the greater flow of people.

  • We visited the area on our last day in Buenos Aires. It is trashy and commercialized. Furthermore, it is VERY dangerous! We were walking down the street in broad daylight and two young men approximate...  more »
  • There's no way to go and not to know Buenos Stadium in the Mouth. Calm and tranquil region, but felt a little dangerous to walk after dark. Beside the Caminito. Many shops and attractions. Recommend.
