Jardin Japones, Buenos Aires

4.3
#1 of 68 in Parks in Buenos Aires
Geographically they're half a world away, but at Jardin Japones, Argentina and Japan come together. Built in 1967 thanks to a donation by the Japanese community of Buenos Aires, the gardens celebrate unity between the two countries, with Japanese and native plant life sharing space in well-manicured perfection. Check out the central lagoon, thriving with carp, and walk across the distinctly Eastern bridges during your stroll around the gardens. • Very cool place to be visited but not need to book a long time for this tour around 1 hour is enough, there we have lunch at a very attractive price.

  • By the fact of having to pay to get in, the place is nothing but another Park to visit. It's just a garden with features of Japanese culture.

  • I expected more ... it's cute, well taken care of, but I think it's smaller than I expected ... I think it's not worth what it costs. We pay 120 pesos per person to enter.

  • Really cool to walk through on a nice day. The garden is kept in great shape and walking over the bridges and seeing the huge koi ponds within takes you away from the bustling city right out side the gates. My girlfriend had me try some melona ice cream and I can say was very good. Overall it's worth visiting and has a very relaxing atmosphere.
  • Beautiful park. Pond with fish you can feed. Ideal to take kids on a nice day. Very clean
  • Very peaceful, with lovely landscaping, plants and animals. A relaxing way to spend some time in Buenos Aires. Child friendly too.
  • I really love this place. Great service & amazing food. Do not forget to make a reservation. After dinner you can get to know the garden or maybe check out the bonsai.
  • Great tourist attraction. You need to pay ticket to enter. There's a restaurant inside.
