  • Since we had some time on the morning of our departure from Buenos Aires, we looked at to something in the environment of our hotel. We randomly came to the Iglesia San Miguel de Arcangel. From outside rather unobtrusive we were more surprised and impressed by the beautiful interior.

  • Located on the corner of Bartolomé Mitre and Suipacha, Church of San Miguel Arcangel style neoenacentista dating from 1780 shows off a single Bell Tower in its construction and is recalled the attack in 1955 in the so-called burning of churches. It is in a stage of almost permanent reconstruction for the damage suffered. It has many images inside of great historical value because of their age and beauty. There lived a distinguished Monsignor of the Church Catholic Argentina Miguel of the saints of Andrea Creator give them Catholic circles of workmen, becoming champion of Social action in the Argentina. This temple is I say visit along the Centre of the autonomous city of Buenos Aires.

  • Beautiful temple!, I hope to finish the tasks of restoration soon. The paintings on the walls and ceilings are fresh from an artistic and religious value of importance. And the pastor deserves a mention apart: brilliant!. To visit her!.

  • Work of the brotherhood of Holy charity, the first adobe chapel was built towards 1735 for the burial of the poor. The second, masonry, began in 1744 on the grounds of the present-day plaza Arit. In 1782 began the current Temple, under the title of Ntra. Ms. de los Remedios, with classic colonial plant, opened November 21, 1788. Next to him stood first orphan school and the first women hospital, then closed by Rivadavia. The Temple became parish since 1830. Tower was built around 1850. Legacy of Miguel Capdevila the parish house was built in the 1860s and the ground floor premises. The temple was renovated in the neo-classical style in 1897. It has bells and stained-glass windows brought from Bordeaux on that date. In the basement a large crypt was made in 1913, by donation from Doña Carlota Díaz de Vivar de Unzué. Divided in two in 1955, is currently Assembly Hall and crypt with entry by 75 Suipacha. Refurbished and decorated by the artist Ferrari it was consecrated the temple by Bishop Miguel of Andrea on September 28, 1921. In its grounds lie the remains of the founders, Pbros. Juan Alonso González and Aragón and José González Islands (crypt) .the of a pastor, Gabriel Fuentes (Atrium), and Andrea Bishop, with bronze statue, who was parish priest for 48 years and organized its profitable social action from there. He is worshipped on the altar with the image of Ntra. Ms. de los Remedios, brought from Cádiz in 1727. All the building retains signs of damage when it was burnt down during the events of 1955.

  • It is a beautiful church, with some incredible frescoes, but maintenance is missing. At the time, it was very beautiful. Equally worth visiting it.

Buenos Aires offers an impressive selection of budget-friendly and mid-range lodgings, as well as pricier, more luxurious options for visitors who don't mind splashing out. Good rooms are scattered across town, but your best bet for economical hostels remains San Telmo, a neighborhood on the edge of downtown.
