2.4/5 based on 2,800+ reviews on the web
Known for its chaotic mix of high-end retailers and street hawkers, Calle Florida makes for an interesting Buenos Aires shopping spree. The pedestrianized street, just north of the central Plaza de Mayo, has gained a worldwide reputation for its slightly dubious "unofficial money exchangers," who call out "cambio" in Spanish as you pass. Keep walking north of Avenue Cordoba and you'll suddenly find a host of leather shops, offering distinctive locally made products. Take a moment to appreciate many talented street performers on your walk. • Until a few years ago was cluttered, chaotic and bumpy and full of hawkers (manteros) that blocked the path vendondo mostly useless things. Today the manteros have been dislodged and sent elsewhere (towards Calle Peru) the flooring was redone and various new stores, business premises and new renovated premises that make the road much more interesting.

  • It was a bad experience walking down the street. First I went to change and pass me a real counterfeit, also the prices of shops give are very expensive. I bought a tango show in an agency, cobrarao us an arm and a leg and it was disastrous. I don't recommend buying anything in Florida, you fool agencies too. Watch out! Recommend find out sales promoters of this street. We found a saleswoman in May Square, named Adriana, sold us packages with great prices. Here I leave your whatsapp 00541151355226 add people.

  • Calle Florida is nothing more than a boardwalk with a lot of shops and with mt people pushing things to tourists, and if they find out you're Brazilian, lost playboy, where they stop right, hardly can walk and look at the shops, people shoving tours, itineraries, and offering to exchange for money "cambio, cambio" (there's even a butterfly sculptures have the word "cambio" written on the wings. Suggest going in the Galerías Pacífico peripheral streets.
