Avenida Corrientes, Buenos Aires

(3.9/5 based on 1,800+ reviews on the web)
Feel the passion of tango culture in the air as you stroll down Avenida Corrientes, known to locals as "the street that never sleeps." The avenue's long-held reputation for throbbing nightlife has tied it to the tango culture, so much so that plaques have been laid at 40 of its street corners to celebrate the most influential figures in tango history. The city's cultural hub, the area boasts an abundance of bookshops and theaters, drawing comparisons with Broadway in New York. Pop in to one of the avenue's theaters for a live performance with a distinctly spicy, Argentinean touch. • One of the main avenues of Buenos Aires, with many famous shops and restaurants. Worth a visit especially during the day.

  • Constantly pass along this Avenue, before it was by laburo and currently is to make plans with friends, family and girlfriend. On this avenue is can find them best pizzerias in the country and several places more to eat. Are also the main theatres where you can enjoy a show, from stand ups along the square to works with much production in other theaters like for example the Broadway. It is very well appreciate the obelisk and several things artesalanes to buy while you walk. It bad is that always there are too many people and almost that you trample, always all hurry as of custom... But linda Avenue for walks for tourists and people of the country that is not followed to capital.
