It is a unique place, steeped in history of motor racing over the years, very well maintained. It feels magical world where one becomes like a child watching and looking at the variety of history. Go to Balcarce is to go to the Museum, there is another, but, we do not know Balcarce.

It is amazing how well that is that Museum, not only by the amount of cars that has but for the collection of historical data, is really not to be missed!

Visiting Balcarce, is something magnificent, with a museum showing the history of our motoring and in the world, in honor of our neighbour balcarceno, Don Juan Manuel Fangio and the slope of the Sierra, Barroso, an Autodrome giving a view almost a mural of the natuiraleza is. East of the racetrack, the mirador de la Barrosa, where you can see the city, the mountains that surround the city and as a finishing touch, our precious BALCARCE dessert, you can ask more, come to BALCARCE!

I'm a big Formula One fan, and I remembered that once when I was reading Juan Manual Fangio's article on Wikipedia, it mentioned that there was a museum dedicated to him in Argentina. Years later, I had the chance to visit Argentina. I was a little dismayed at how far away from Buenos Aires this museum was. It was a lot of work to rent a car and drive out 5 hours to Balcarce, and I was bracing for a bit of disappointment with this museum. It was fantastic! There are so many incredible cars in here: Old Ford Model As from Fangio's early days, an 1886 Benz, Prost's 1981 Turbo, one of Senna's McLarens, beautiful Lancia and Maserati sports cars from the 1950s, and Fangio's F1 championship cars from '54, '55, '56, and '57 (unfortunately the '51 Alfa Romeo 159 is missing). The museum signage is mostly in Spanish, but there is an English audio guide. This is worth the money. The translation from Spanish is very... direct, which produces a few funny moments, but also gives you a good insight into the meaning of the original Spanish commentary. The audio guide has about 50 stops, which is a good amount and covers the entire museum in a couple of hours. If you're a Formula One fan, this museum should be on your global checklist.

Excellent place to visit. From Mar del plata there is 1 hour by road in very good condition. The entrance is accessible, and is there a discount for senior citizens. It is very well preserved. Stands out the hygiene. It is a pride for the country. Very attentive staff.
