  • The Mineralogical Museum of the Puna operates within the complex Rumi Huasi. The Museum mainly exhibits the geological heritage of the Antofagasta de la Sierra Department and the Puna Argentina. Classroom volcanic rocks, rocks (aragonite and marble Onyx) application, mineral of various salt lakes in the area, remnants of vegetation metamorphosed in sulfates and carbonates product of dry lakes are on display today. Also presents minerals from other sectors of the country, and has a living room with fluorescent minerals. In addition, the Museum has a craft workshop and they can purchased inter alia, polished and supplicants minerals in pumice stone with your certificate of completion. Director accompanied us during our visit and was explaining the origin of the different exposed minerals and showed us his workshop and the work they performed. The cost of entry is $25 and free of charge for who are staying in the Rumi-Huasi complex.
