  • This time (January of this year) I was surprised that there is no place to park in Piedra Pintada. To the side of the road (left if you are coming from the city of Aluminé) is now fenced off and prevents entering the place where it was parked. I had to leave my vehicle at the edge of the road. Fortunately little traffic there is which reduces risks. Recommend pass a gate and walking some 100 meters to approach is to see the Lake from it high. It is very picturesque and beautiful photos can be taken. You can also climb to the rock formations that give name to the place. I read that there are paintings cave, but not those found. This visit should be doing it as part of the circuit Pehuenia that then continues with them Lakes Ñorquinco, Moquehue and Aluminé. Beautiful place to stop along the way and enjoy its beauties.

  • Lake Pulmari 37 min are 35 km is reachable in approx. from Alumine. In the place there is a viewpoint called Piedra Pintada, with rock art (walk 1000m). The name is due to the stage of Pulmarí combat between troops of the army of rock and the Mapuche Indians.

  • The best place to appreciate the beauty of the place is Piedra Pintada. You can park on the side of the road (left if you are coming from the city of Aluminé). It is very picturesque and you can approach stepped Lake 100 meters to have elevated views that invite you to take beautiful photos of the same. You can also climb to the rock formations that give name to the place. Somewhere I read that there are cave paintings, but I did not find them. It is a visit that can be done as part of the circuit Pehuenia, which then continues with Lakes Ñorquinco, Moquehue and Aluminé. Beautiful place not to be missed.
