Water Body
For an outback experience in Argentina, head to Lago Alumine, a remote lake situated in the picturesque Alumine National Park. While exploring the surrounding area, you can meet the native Mapuche that inhabit the reserve and try out many outdoor activities, including camping, sailing, fishing, kayaking, picnicking, and swimming. For something a bit more authentic, rent a horse from the Mapuche community and go riding around the lake. • Beautiful Lake in the area of Villa Pehuenia/Moquehue. From the road to the volcano Batea Mahuida road forks and access to an elevated area where this Lake can be seen almost in its entirety. Highly recommended!

  • Beautiful place to explore and enjoy in family, we went in March 2017, access to villa pehuenia is from zapala by first pine gravel road condition, and to prepare the cameras! Majestic araucarias departing from rocks! very nice place for lovers of the South.

  • It is a vast lake that offers beautiful views that invite you to take photos at every step. You should take the time to explore it carefully and enjoy the charm that provides every small place in its coasts. Coming from Aluminé route we find the Lake on the left and it accompanies us almost all the way up to Villa Pehuenia. There are different places to eat or take something facing the Lake and enjoy its beauty. I suggest entering the peninsula bordering the lake where some inns and cottages with beautiful views towards the complexes. Peace and beauty is a constant throughout their journey. In the Lake also is can make activities nautical that provide another reason of enjoyment. Safety pin in the area!
