Pulenta Estate Winery, Agrelo

(4.5/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
Since 1912, the family-run Pulenta Estate Winery has been in the business of producing exceptional Argentinean wines. Owned by the family's third generation of winemakers, the undeniably elegant estate has a very luxurious feel, seamlessly blending modern design with a quintessentially rustic cellar feel. The winery is surrounded by parallel rows of vines unfolding as far as the eye can see, set against a backdrop of the nearby mountain range. Tour the estate and sample some of family's best wines paired with crackers and cheese. • I went to Pulenta expecting a visitor beyond expectations, because it is a wine that has long has already become an icon in Brazil. The visit is nice, they have a strong commercial vein, can sell the concept of being an elite wine Pulenta, bind a lot of wine in Porsche, by owner being the representatives of the brand in Argentina. The cava is beautiful, the visit has an interesting technical concept and the tasting also is distinguished in that it is the technical aspects, he make a sensory tasting where \ is blindfolded must find out the ingredients ' Cup (chocolate, oregano, tobacco, etc.) and after tasting the wines. The tasting I did not like, even the Gran Court I liked, I was expecting a lot more of the young wines Pulenta are weak and the Gran Cut are not wines for the visit. I bought a SingleVineyard of Finca Zulema, will keep for a few years and I hope I have settled on the purchase. Good visit, but if you go to Mendoza with time restricted to few bodegas, there are bodegas are much better.

  • Beautiful setting. Very good, distinctive wines.
  • Connie did an excellent job of touring our group through the winery
  • Very cozy and inviting tap room. The Estate Gran Cabernet Franc XI was by far my favorite -- the green chile taste was surprisingly wonderful. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and did not push their products on me during the tasting. Actually, I had to ask to buy a bottle of their wine.
  • Very rich wines, very good service. A winery to learn about
