Trip Planner: South America / Argentina / Cuyo / Province of Mendoza / Mendoza / Agrelo / Pulenta Estate Winery
Since 1912, the family-run Pulenta Estate Winery has been in the business of producing exceptional Argentinean wines. Owned by the family's third generation of winemakers, the undeniably elegant estate has a very luxurious feel, seamlessly blending modern design with a quintessentially rustic cellar feel. The winery is surrounded by parallel rows of vines unfolding as far as the eye can see, set against a backdrop of the nearby mountain range. Tour the estate and sample some of family's best wines paired with crackers and cheese. I knew some wines, which are a lot of good, and wanted to know the winery! It was a nice experience, very interesting to discover the interior, somewhat in the manner of production of wines. The tasting was great, tasted wines that still didn't know. The only drawback on this visit, was the fact the tasting have been accelerated, despite having been paid and scheduled, for which there was a great import of wines for tasting. If it wasn't that, it would have been great!

Very cozy and inviting tap room. The Estate Gran Cabernet Franc XI was by far my favorite -- the green chile taste was surprisingly wonderful. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and did not push their products on me during the tasting. Actually, I had to ask to buy a bottle of their wine.
Idevete TeixeiraAugust 6, 2017Excellent very good wine, lunch and wine tasting is great. The visit is very interesting. Besides wine they also produce olive oil. A particular curiosity, are they representatives of Porsche brand throughout Latin America and in every celebration of the brand, the wine is Pulenta. Worth knowing.
Sheyla FurtadoMay 30, 2017The Winery is very beautiful, organized, and has a beautiful view of the mountain ranges. The wines are of excellent quality and fair prices.

Where to stay in Mendoza
As the center of Argentina's wine industry, Mendoza offers plenty of conventional hostel and hotel options, as well as a good selection of short-term apartments for rent. Visitors taking language courses or spending several weeks on the wine route usually snatch these early in the tourist season (which lasts from mid-December to late-February), so it's a good idea to do some research and contact the owners before you arrive. Keep in mind that some of the town's hostels only offer beds to guests signed up for their wine tours.
