Devil's Bridge, Saint Philip Parish

Create an itinerary including Devil's Bridge
See an unusual geological feature in a wild and remote area at Devil's Bridge. Carved by the sea, the natural arch shows the geological composition of the area, as water wore away the soft ledge of limestone and left only the hard layers. Several natural blowholes lie in the rock around the bridge, with the shoots of spraying water announcing the power of the Atlantic. With no land or offshore reefs between here and Europe, and strong trade winds, the sea is always violent--exercise caution. • Pretty place to watch the sunrise. Later in the day there are a few vendors with local crafts and other items. It’s a national park with pretty views but too small for much of a hike.

  • Quite a nice place to visit, it has quite nice views. Not very clear as to where the bridge was at first, but once we found it, we were quite impressed. Looks very impressive for a naturally made bridge. There are a few small tourist shops in small beach huts that sell souvenirs. Overall a nice place to visit if you have some spare time! The road to get there was a bit bumpy, so a 4x4 would be the best vehicle to have to get there.
  • Breath taking scenery. Beautiful day was had. Kite flying Easter Monday. Kites of all description and beautiful Caribbean blue seas. Can't wait to go vack
  • Absolutely beautiful! Suggest going in the morning when the sun is nice and bright for beautiful photos! There is the sweetest woman in hut number 2 that I snagged some previous souvenirs from (a hat and a precious ankle bracelet). She is so kind and helps give you directions, parking assistance and local tips
  • Good place to visit, exciting to walk across. Wouldn’t wear Toms or flip flops to cross it or you will die. The souvenirs from nearby required me to take a second mortgage to afford.
  • It's a rock formation with rough waters around it. Simple enough. But the story behind it is deep. Enslaved persons would escape from the plantations and jump to their death. Many souls there jumped for freedom.
