Devil's Bridge, Saint Philip Parish

#2 of 12 in Nature in Antigua and Barbuda
See an unusual geological feature in a wild and remote area at Devil's Bridge. Carved by the sea, the natural arch shows the geological composition of the area, as water wore away the soft ledge of limestone and left only the hard layers. Several natural blowholes lie in the rock around the bridge, with the shoots of spraying water announcing the power of the Atlantic. With no land or offshore reefs between here and Europe, and strong trade winds, the sea is always violent--exercise caution.
