Long Bay, Seatons

Must see · Beach · Nature / Park
Soak in some sun and take a refreshing dip in the waters of the Caribbean at Long Bay. The beach, which features pristine white sand and clean, calm water, serves as the perfect for working on your tan, as well as snorkeling and discovering the local marine life. Local vendors sell souvenirs from wooden stalls, hire out jet skis and snorkeling equipment, and provide banana boats and tube rides for visitors to the beach. Snorkeling, fishing, and sightseeing trips also leave from the area. Make sure to bring your own umbrella or hire one from a local vendor, as natural shade at the beach is minimal. • All 4 of our group agreed that this was the best beach to swim at of the many we visited in Antigua. Stunningly clear waters, soft sand, a bit of shade and for those that wanted, some water sports as....  more »

  • Long Bay is a bay on the North-eastern section of Antigua in the vicinity of the Willikies village and the Pineapple Beach Resort. The harbor itself is picturesque, and the scenery is simply breathtaking and spectacular. No review of Long Bay will be complete without mentioning the Long Bay Beach, which is one of the most popular features of the bay itself. Long bay beach with its white powdery sand and calm shallow inviting waters has been a delight to all on Antigua. The beach can be crowded on weekends and public holidays since it is a favorite picnic spot. Many have traveled from far and wide just to visit this great beach (easily one of the top 10 beaches in the Island). There are colorful shops and restaurants and water-sporting activities and other facilities for on-land or water based activities and relaxation. I have witnessed many Cricket, Soccer and other ball games played on land or in the shallow calm clear turquoise water. All in all this is a must visit beach for anyone on Antigua.
  • every morning I went this place for swimming.πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
  • Shallow waters Great for family with small kids
  • Northeastern coast of Antigua one of my schools days picnic beach.
  • Not much to compare it to on the island, but for being β€œone of the best” snorkeling beaches I was pretty disappointed. The reef is dying and the quantity and variety of fish is weak. Also the reef is in very shallow water and causes a natural break in the waves which can lead to some very treacherous swimming. As far as affordability, it was an easy $32 cab ride each way from downtown St John for a party of 4. Rented a pair of beach chairs $5 each which is a decent price, and the bar on the beach had beers for $3, also relatively affordable.
