Darkwood Beach, Antigua

(4.5/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web)
Unwind away from the crowds at Darkwood Beach, an Antiguan beach that offers great snorkeling and a secluded retreat. Turquoise clear waters and a small reef close to the shore provide an excellent spot for beginners to practice their snorkeling or swim in calm waters. A long stretch of white crystal sands is interrupted only by a beach bar, which rents snorkeling equipment, as well as serving refreshing snacks and offering restrooms. If you’ve got the kids with you, then the inflatable aquatic playground often set up in the bay will keep them entertained for hours, while you enjoy a cold drink and some peace and quiet. Take a look at our Crab Hill itinerary maker to schedule your visit to Darkwood Beach and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • It's a fantastic beach. Color of the sea and white sand. It's pretty much on the road yet uncrowded. There is a small restaurant and you can rent chairs and umbrellas.

  • Beautiful and quiet beach. There is a beach bar at the entrance, and another bar at the end of the beach. The rest is only sand, that is really appreciated since it keeps the place natural.  more »
