Savanna Bay, Island Harbour
(3.4/5 based on 25 reviews on the web)
Visit the secluded and often almost deserted beach of Savanna Bay and indulge in walks along soft white sands and snorkelling in calm clear waters. You won't find many amenities, bar a restaurant serving local cuisines, and no natural shade-- so make sure you bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and perhaps an umbrella. Note that you need to drive down a long bumpy road to get to the beach, which can be easy to miss from the main road. Before you head to Island Harbour, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly Island Harbour trip itinerary planner, to make sure you see all that Island Harbour has to offer, including Savanna Bay.

  • Our experience of this beach apparently wasn't typical of some of the other contributors. You drive down a long dirt road to get to it. The bay is very large and has a nice beach along 95% of the bay....  more »
  • I have difficulty walking and for several years needed a crutch to help support me while I walked. The first beach we would head to was Savanna Bay because it is secluded (no one staring) and the wate...  more »
  • One of the places that gave me more satisfaction to snorkel. It is not an easy place to get to, but the beach is beautiful and wild, offers no comfort, there are umbrellas or chairs, but it is really nice and worth. Unfortunately with the wind, and is often found, the sea moves and there's a little and you have to bathe carefully, the water is shallow and care must be taken to the ripples and the rocks. However one can see many fish, also a mahi mahi, and best of all there are few people. For those who want to walk you can go far to be even more lonely. donot mangaiare's eat from NAT. Unless you want to spend that much.
