Kissama National Park, Bengo Province

#5 of 6 in Nature in Angola
Explore Angola's wildlife at Kissama National Park, established as a game reserve in the 1930s. Sandwiched between the Cuanza and Longa Rivers, the park encompasses 120 km (75 mi) of the Atlantic Ocean's coast and features diverse vegetation ranging from mangrove forests to dense woods and savannahs with plenty of cacti and baobab trees. Part of the largest animal transplant in history, the park is currently being repopulated by elephants and other animals from Botswana and South Africa. • Most interesting and picturesque place. One of the attractions of Angola. Customers come early in the morning to comfort to explore the Park. In the Park move on cars. You can see the flora and fauna of the coast. Get on feeding the giraffes, admire the elephants and other species of cloven-hoofed animals and birds. After the examination will be held in comfortable pavilions DL rest and lunch.

  • The one-day Safari ECO TOUR ANGOLA the Kissama Park was wonderful. Worth every dollar invested. Start with a visit to the Miradouro da Lua, then breakfast (breakfast) in Kwanza Lodge followed by speedboat ride along the river Kwanza, delicious lunch where you can meet the Angolan cuisine and anyway the highlight, our photographic safari in the "hunt" animals (herbivores only: giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, Antelope, deer, elephants on the day I went they didn't show up) for the meanders of the forest. More details on posting "trip to ANGOLA or smile, you're in AFRICA." you can read in the blog SOUP in HONEY (try Google). A tip: paying cash in dollars cheaper.

  • We went to Luanda, my husband booked a hosting at the Park. To get us lost it took almost 5 hours to a 2:30 ... you have to go down the road of the coast over cabo ledo. Unfortunately the Waze didn't have the fate of the Park. We finally got the food is great, service cuts and efficient hosting is simple but ok. We took a boat ride in the afternoon and the Safari was for Sunday morning. It was absolutely awesome. Demos into a family of elephants emotion thousand. And on the way out of the Park in our car and on the road (before the gate that has the electric fence) demos into a giraffe immense .... worth the trip. We would for sure.
