Develop your taste for Socialist Realism at National Gallery of Art. The gallery's two floors showcase international works of art, but the highlight is the local communist-era propaganda. Although used to promote political ideology, each piece has artistic value, making the exhibit both an exploration in art and history. The Social Realism movement dominated art behind the Iron Curtain for many years, representating of the values of that period. The museum is small, so take your time investigating each piece of artwork. Purchase your tickets from the reception when you arrive.
