Clock Tower, Tirana
(3.1/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web)
Climb to the top of Clock Tower for rewarding views of the city center. Although its clock face has been replaced multiple times over the years, the tower remains one of the most historically significant structures in the city. It was built and designed by the same man who designed the Et'hem Bey Mosque, Haxhi Et'hem Bey. A small museum next to the tower displays a few items of tradition clothing and tools. Tour this first, then the museum attendant will unlock the tower for you to climb. A set of 90 spiral steps takes you to the viewing level. Admission to the attraction is free. Using our world travel planner, Tirana attractions like Clock Tower can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • This is one of the few tourist attractions of the city in order to enter and climb up to the clock you have to make a payment and then there is a small very interesting Museum next to that without a doubt it is very valuable to visit

  • Located next to the mosque is the clock tower (kulla e sahatit) that dates back to Ottoman times. 35 meters high has long been the tallest building in the city, although today it looks tiny and insignificant as surrounded by modern buildings and much higher. The first Bell of the tower was from Venice, and finally in the years 70 it was planted a Chinese symbol of Alliance with the Maoist Government. We are not climb because we felt it necessary to visit as it lacked any city views.

  • A must see while exploring central Tirana. An easy climb to the top affords a great view of the square and environs.
